Frothing milk is very variable based on the type of milk used (whole, 2%, etc) and also the actual steam wand of the machine and even the skill level of the person using the machine. You can add too much air into the milk and it would be too foamy or frothy. You can also steam it too long which would result in scalded milk and that could affect the texture. So basically the quality of the froth is dependent on several factors; it could even vary from different coffee shops too. Good luck and hope this helped.
