Q: QuestionOven vents in both directions at the back, so can only be used in an island? Does cafe make a back guard so I can install against a wall?

This range can be installed in either an island or against a wall, as long as the clearances listed in the installation instructions, found on our website, are followed. Additionally, there is a rear trim piece that must be installed that will ensure proper rear clearances are followed. We hope this helps! Q: QuestionIf the power goes out, can it be lit manually with a match or lighter?

• A:Answer Thanks for the excellent question. We would love to share more about this range. In the event of a power failure, the oven can not be used. However, the surface burners may be lit with a match. Using extreme caution, hold a lit match near the ports beneath the surface burner cap, then slowly turn the knob to the LITE position. Q: QuestionI just had this installed today and tested the oven. The fan is obnoxiously loud right off the start. Is this normal? I only turned it up to 380 degrees. My old oven made zero noise. This makes our whole kitchen loud and cooking a terrible experience.

The included griddle is interchangeable with the center grate for your preference. You can absolutely keep all three racks in the oven while baking as there are 6 different positions available. Q: QuestionI am replacing a freestanding stove and I am looking into the Ge cafe Matte white and I realised the sides are black I wish they were in white.There is only a cabinet on one side.Don't really want to have the exposed side black. Do you carry it in white?

Q: QuestionModel MCGS700P2MS1 is this supposed to have a reversible griddle? Even after pre seasoning the griddle and using oil, eggs and blueberry pancakes still stuck to the griddle and it is difficult cleaning it even after following the instructions.

Optional Integrated Cast Iron Grill/Griddle JXCGRILL1 is sold separately. We are sorry to hear of this unfortunate experience with your griddle. You may want to rub it with a bit of oil before you cook your eggs/pancakes. The griddle should be seasoned before first use and after each cleaning. Also, it may be necessary to clean your cast-iron griddle with a stiff brush and hot water. Using soap is not recommended, and do not wash the reversible griddle in the dishwasher. • A:Answer Hi GG - Thanks for considering Café Model # CGS700P4MW2! The range does not have child lock for the knobs. Lock Controls feature locks out the control so that pressing the pads does not activate the controls. Café™ 30" Gas Cooktop CGP95302MS1 has Child Lock option. When locked, gas flow to the burners is prevented. Burners will spark if a knob is turned, but will not ignite.
