• A:Answer The answer is NO. The exterior does get warm to very warm, but not HOT. Manual says do not store anything on top of the unit when in use. I am happy with the performance of the oven. It is well made.

• A:Answer From what I have experienced, it pauses after the reheating process. When you put your food in, you push the start button down and it will start the heating process and countdown.
