It comes with a microSD card preinstalled with NOOBS which gives you a selection of (mostly linux based) operating systems to choose from. There is a Windows IoT OS for raspberry pi but it's probably not quite what you're after. It is apparently possible to get a full Windows 10 desktop experience on a raspberry pi 4 through the Windows on Raspberry project but at first glance it doesn't seem like a straightforward process like installing windows on a standard x86_64 system would be - and one of the requirements is a computer running windows 10. While possible, it's probably not easy or practical.

There are some community efforts to get Windows 10 to run on the RPI4, but they are complicated and not everything is guaranteed to work. You could install Ubuntu Desktop 21.04 if you’re allowed to use a Linux distribution for your class. That is what I currently have installed on my RPI4, and it works like any other Linux computer. If you must have Windows 10, your best bet is to look for a laptop
