Yes. Very high quality photos as well. I use to use the 50mm than upgraded to the 35mm. Great for landscapes and especially portraits.

Yes EF lenses are compatible with the 7D and 6D. I have personally used this lense with the 40D, XTi, and 6D. It is a great lenses to take portraits. I have been taking photos for 10+ years. I wish I would have picked it up sooner.
