Actually I think this lens is perfectly suited for the purpose. It's wide enough to capture full room panoramas AND exteriors with very sharp detail while not breaking the bank. So you can stitch together interior '3D' walkthroughs which are popular in real estate these days and wide enough exteriors to capture sprawling properties WITHOUT having to stitch together multiple images there. Even though this is a 2.0 f stop lens, the sharpness is more like a 1.4 and it's not so wide where you have anything more than very minor distortion. I've only had this lens a few weeks and it's not only become my true 'prime' lens, but my go-to for everything from landscape to studio/portrait work. I own less and more expensive lenses but i can honestly go on record by stating this was the best 'bang for the buck' purchase I've made. And as an added benefit, it's a great lens for capturing video. The AF is quick and quiet enough to shoot video like a dedicated lens... Happy shooting!
