Q: QuestionIs this good for family photos?
Asked by bayleeeg.
- A:Answer Well, I certainly think so. It has a narrow (substantially) field of view than the kit lens, so you will need extra distance from the subject for wide big family shots. However, for smaller groups or single portraits, indoors or out, low light or bright, no flash, does a great job. I really enjoy the bokeh effect on closer portraits.

Q: QuestionCan you zoom on this camera, and if so how do you?
Asked by Niki.
- A:Answer Niki, The short answer is yes if you have the correct lense for the distance you are trying to zoom. The lense kit i got with my camera body is 18mm to 45mm. This in not enough in my opinion. You need to search for a 'Zoom' lense for the camera body. I would recommend an affordable canon ef-m 55mm to 200mm stm zoom lense. Make sure it is the ef-m mount and not the ef-s mount or it will require an adaptor for your camera body. I am not a photography but gathered this information from a little research.

Q: QuestionIs this lens good for family portraits?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer It's a narrow field of view, so you will have to zoom with your feet to pull back and get the width. But, if you can get fairly close to your subject, you can get some fairly stunning Bokeh for portraits.
