Yes, absolutely! I use this camera primarily for video (I’m a YouTuber), and it is fantastic. I shoot fhd @ 24fps. One caution: if you plan to shoot in 4K, prepare to manual focus. 4K from this camera is good, but you loose that wonderful Canon dual autofocus, as it reverts back to a contrast-based autofocus, which I find to be somewhat unreliable (slow and wanders). In all other resolutions, AF is spot-on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The video quality is good but it cuts you off at 29 minutes. I am disappointed since the Best Buy sales staff assured me that this would record longer videos when I explained what I was looking for. When I tried to return it, the restocking fee did not make it worth while. If you are trying to do short films, you might need to be more specific with how long the video capture needs to be for each shooting.

Please try again later.Trivia - I just today read the reason it stops at 29 minutes, 59 seconds is because there is an additional tax in Europe on any camera that can shoot 30 or more minutes. I haven't seen an easy way around it, other than to plan for a cut / stop point before 30 minutes, then use a video editor to past them together.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but the battery life is not that great
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For some commercials it would be good enough with a tons of additional lighting equipment. But better use mirrored ones
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. It's a great camera but for commercials or other professional quality videos you should consider of purchasing DSLR cameras. This guy is good for vlogging ;)
