Lenses that are not ef-m will need adapters. For Canon ef or efs lenses I would highly recommend the Canon adapter. It’s relatively inexpensive and delivers top notch performance and capabilities from your Canon lenses. Other adapters may not have the right contact point sequence this delivering sub par performance. Not always the case but for the maybe $40 you’d save the headaches are not worth it. Reliability has its value.
