QuestionSo far, I've been unable to print to this printer from an Acer Chromebook. Even connecting via USB doesn't work. The Chromebook and the printer are both connected to my Wifi and I can print to it easily from a laptop.

- Answer You need to add the printer driver software to the chrome book or use a data cable (printer cable is best). USB won’t cut it. Assuming your printer has AirPrint but does not show when you search for a device on the chrome book, correct?

QuestionHow it scanner work? I work from home and sometimes I need to scan alot of paper, and sended to emails. I dont have the time waiting for the longer to scan and check all the paper been scan. Thank you.

- Answer If it does I was not able to find that feature. It does let you save it to a network drive. Not through the software, but through the user interface. If you have a NAS or other network resource, you can add an entry in the address book as SMB. It’s best to create a separate account for the scanner with limited permissions so you don’t have to save your own username and password. You can also program an email account so it will send to email. Again, best to have a separate email account for this purpose.

QuestionBrand new, I just took the printer out of the box and set it up, but nothing will print. I get error indicator light with every print command. In order for it to actually print, I have to specify which drawer in order for it to print. Why?????

- Answer Check all the system settings on the machine as well as on your computer. Make sure you use the disc that came with the machine to install the Canon files on your computer. I tried using the files from the Canon support site but those files were not the complete system files, just updates.

- Answer go into the paper setting and reset the type of paper and paper tray. Also, in settings both on your tablet and printer make sure that you do not have them set to both wifi and manual/computer/tablet printing.

QuestionI just purchased the Canon MF642Cdw color imageCLASS from Best buy. I was told it had a built-in Hotspot, but there is no indication of it in the manual. That was one of the biggest selling points for me. Does it have a self contained Hotspot or not?

QuestionI am assisting an seasoned couple of setting system. up - One computer in one room, I got the printer connected ok but the other computer is in the other room and I havent quite figured out how to go wireless with it. Their device is Windows 7

- Answer I found it easier just to plug in the Ethernet cable and configure it as a "Network Printer". Once you select "Network" it locates it and installs the printer on the computer you have the drivers installed on.

- Answer Not that I know of. There is not an extra slot for another paper tray. This is for a small office or home use. For business use you may want to look into another printer.
