• The MF743Cdw does 2-sided (single pass) scanning. They use different toner cartridges. See canon: https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/products/compare?models=45082,40951

• Duplex scanning (both sides) and it's much faster (50 PPM BW vs 28 PPM BW).

• They both do single pass, double sided scanning. But, from what I'm seeing the 733CDW can get twice the color print resolution (1200dpi vs. 600dpi), while they both seem to be able to do Google Cloud Print too.
