- Answer No it did not replace 243 and 244. I don't know what replaced 243 and 244 or if they have been relaced at all I suggest contacting customer service or tech support for your product..

- Answer IIRC, PG244 is multi-color ink and PG245 is black ink only, so the quality issue is rather moot. If you have a Canon printer that accommodates the 243-244 series AND/OR the 245-246 series, then you should be OK.

- Answer It depends on how much is printed on a given page, check Staples.com and find your printer ink which will give answer for how many pages ink will print. I've gotten long lasting print out sequences for standard and better results for XL cartridges.
