Yes indeed! There are modes to set either or, or both. A dedicated dial for aperture and mode buttons (up/down) for shutter speed. There are also provisions in Manual mode for manual focus, auto focus, and macro mode. Whether it is stocked in a particular store I could not say, but Best Buy online will tell you if it is or not, based on the zip code entered.
