“What kind of zoom does this have? Does it have a great one for taking football pics a distance away?”

• It has a 50X optical zoom, which I think it means it will get you 50 times closer to your target. I recently bought this camera and I think it´s great, I´ve taken pictues of birds standing quite far from me and got great results... guess it depends on how far away you´re standing. It has an additional 4x digital zoom but pics start to get a bit grainy.
