“does this camera come with a charger??? if not what kind of batteries? how long does it stay alive?? i will mainly use while im out on hikes, games, and family events”

Yes, it comes with a charger. I found the battery lasts a full afternoon if you are just taking pictures (about 250-300 photos). If you use the edit mode, editing and transferring pictures, it will run your battery down a lot faster. I will probably buy a backup battery for use over the Christmas holiday. On a normal day, this battery is fine!
