“Has anyone ever used this for newborn photography with a diffuser, or would it be too bright in a smaller space?”

• Use the diffuser pointed to the ceiling. The bounce off an 8 foot ceiling should give you enough light, unless you are shooting photos in the dark. Other light in the room is surely helpful.
