Longer duration tapes pose a greater risk of defect for both the cassette and the cassette player. Use only high quality tapes with a duration of 45 minutes or less. (C-90). One cassette that I have is called LASER now noise.high output XL90 and others from KMart bot hhey are all at least 20 yeare old. That's all the info I have. Mike D. PS-Try EBay. Also just found TDK Normal Position Type 1 AD90 (Acoustic Dynamic Cassette). That's about it.
