Hi, thank you for your interest in our CD Boombox. In response to your inquiry, the USB port on this device was designed only to charge your USB devices, it won't support playback from the USB port. Deneb M.- Insignia Support.
I originally asked this question. You can listen from a flash drive. It is perfect for someone who has a bunch of home made cd's. You can put them all on the flash drive and eliminate the cd's. Not everyone has bluetooth devices. This radio has been just the right thing for my use!
No, this unit does not support playback from the USB port.
You probably can but it is Bluetooth compatible which might be easier. But if you prefer flash drive, I don't see why it wouldn't .
