  • QuestionWhat is the difference between the celestron 6 se and the sky prodigy 6

    Asked by Len.

    • Answer The optical tubes have identical Schmidt-Cassegrain optics but with different exterior colors. The SkyProdigy 6 is a self-aligning telescope while the NexStar 6SE is not. The NexStar 6SE requires the user to enter in date, time, and location manually and must be pointed at alignment stars before the telescope can function as a go-to instrument. However, by the optional StarSense Auto-Align accessory, the NexStar 6SE can be turned into a self-aligning telescope.
