“Do the speakers need to be plugged into an outlet or just wired to the amp?”

• These are not powered speakers. You will need to connect them directly to your receiver or power amp. I'm sure they can handle more than 100WPC. Start off with getting a used amplifier with maybe around 200-250WPC and see what you think.
