No. At time of writing this answer the chamberlain website still lists this as a free to use service based on you having existing wifi service. -- Full Disclosure I'm an associate of a BestBuy store but this review/statement is based on my private experience using this product. There is no monthly service charge for the MyQ service.

No monthly service fee. Download the free app, set up the serial number on the unit (in the manual and on the unit too), and you are good to go.
