The spots that are appearing on the bottom of the Chefman Electric Kettle are NOT RUST. They are usually mineral deposits due to the high mineral content in the water which differs state by state and district by district. The marks should disappear if the kettle is washed or cycled with some acidic cleaner (a mixture of 50% white vinegar and 50% water).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes I’ve had rust problems with my Chefman water kettle. I heard the same thing about it not being rust, but “minerals.” I’ve cleaned mine with 50%viinegar and water. It help a lil bit and the rust/ minerals are right back. I can’t believe that the stuff at the bottom is healthy fo me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No but I have only had it for a few months.
