Please try again later.The temperature control is a range rather than a specific temperature (low/medium/high) so it is difficult to know exactly how hot the base might get. Also, the pans hover just above the warmer base so there isn't direct contact. Therefore, the temperature of the base doesn't directly correlate to the temperature in the pans. If you were to take actual temperatures, I'd guess that the temp in the pans is lower than the temp of the base. I have yet to need to have the base on 'high' in order to keep my food at the desired temperature.
