A:Answer To answer your question, we use a wired router on ours because we have 3 Grand Kids here in our home doing home schooling here 5 days a week, and they each use a school supplied computer, so with 4 computers in our home running at the same time we need an external router.
Our type of router can also be bought at Best-Buy and has a range of about 80 to 100 feet, and it dose a great job.
Under the system specs of this computer, it says that it connects to your network or hotspots on all current Wi-Fi Standards. I think that they are meaning using either wired or wireless router systems and that it dose not come with a built in one, I wish I could have been more help, I hope that this helps.
