Myrtle, Thank you for your questions! You can add an optical drive, such as a CD-ROM or DVD player. As the chassis does not have external drive bays, as is the case with most modern gaming chassis, the optical drive would need to be it will just need to be an external drive. Most of these would connect very simply through a USB port. The video card is discrete, installed into a slot in the motherboard. You may modify the configuration after you receive it, if you like. Doing so does not void the Warranty or Free Lifetime Technical Support that we at CLX provide. The system is compatible with other video cards, so you may replace the GeForce RTX 2070, should you choose to at some point. You may also upgrade the RAM to a maximum of 32GB, should you choose.
