If this set isn't marked as waterproof, then find the set that is. The set I have is waterproof and also floats. Have tested them many times while riding horses in the ocean and on the jet ski at they lake. Have been using them six months and they are still working great. When possible just make sure they get a good drying period, for extra precaution.
