Q: QuestionWater resistant ?Wanted to get clarification on the water resistance of these radios. The description says these are water resistant, but the specifications says they are not. Could anybody please give me a straight answer. Thanks

• A:Answer You simply need the programming of the cobra and then the programming software for the model of Icom radio. Then they should be able to communicate no problem. If the programming isn't posted anywhere, worst case a radio dealer could figure out the programming with an RF monitor. But they will most likely charge for the service. Super late response...

• A:Answer Yes you can use regular batteries. I was not a fan of the rechargeable batteries also, until I got these radios. It comes in handy when you are somewhere and can't charge them.
