- Answer The Cobra 29 LTD Classic CB does not have weather channels. If you would like this feature, Cobra offers weather features (to include NOAA weather channels) in the 29 LX which is the same size as the Classic. We hope this helps. QuestionI bought a used Cobra 37ST handheld CB radio and it seems to be working except i am getting no sound. Question is, even though it has a speaker built in does it have to have the plug in external speaker in order to hear it?

- Answer The internal speaker should produce sound output if the squelch is open and the volume control is adjusted to the 12 o-clock position and nothing connected to the external speaker jack. If there's no sound from the internal speaker - consider connecting an external speaker to the radio to check if the audio amplifier is working. If the external speaker produces RX sound then the external speaker jack might be the problem or the internal speaker is damaged.

- Answer The Cobra HH50WXST is plug and play. All other Cobra CB radio's require installation that includes, mounting the radio and microphone, hardwiring to the vehicle 12V system and connection to an external CB antenna.

QuestionDo I need to also buy an antenna for this radio? Does it need to be hard wired to my truck? Or can I plug it in to the cigarette lighter?

- Answer It can do both, but for cigarette lighter use, you will need to buy a power cord that already has cigarette lighter plug attached, or solder/attach a plug onto the included cord.

- Answer Clarification on other answer stating there is no speaker. CB unit has a built-in internal speaker, but the box does not include an external speaker.
