It took about 2 hours to charge the first time for me. It comes with both an AC wall charger and a DC cigarette socket charger. It was charged to about 25% out of the box. It charges more quickly than comparable portable batteries because the included chargers operate at 14v with 1 amp of current as opposed to the typical 5v and .5 amps provided by most USB chargers.
