Hello, The port on it is for passthrough, so you shouldn't have any slowdowns whatsoever. And yep, you can individually change the lighting on the mousepad whether you have a headset connected to its usb port or mouse. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mouse won't be slowed works just like plugging into your computer USB. Using icue you can set the lighting effects to be the same on each corsair item or something different. Many options with icue.
