• I am happy with dark night time use. And yes the light does seem to come through the keys.

• It's just illuminated around the keys, not through them.

• The lighting is around the keys and not thru keys

• it does and you can see them in a completely dark room . they have their letter or symbol clear as so whatever color if any that you choose will be visible threw it

• The color of lighting continually changes and yes you can read the keys
