I’d been wanting a light up keyboard for a while and decided to take my chances on this refurbished Corsair K55. This was a Deal of the Day and for the price, I figured I’d take my chances. I’d never purchased a refurbished item from Best Buy, but for the price I paid, it was a no brainer. For $5 more, I added the 2 year protection plan, just in case it dies on me after a few weeks. I’d get my money back towards a new keyboard. The item looked brand new when I got it. All new keys and casing; no signs of previous use. It was delivered in a plain brown box. No instruction manual was included, so I Googled the manual and found it on the Corsair website. The keyboard itself feels nice when typing. It’s not real loud when typing. It lights up just like I wanted, and has a bunch of preset light settings that you can set it to. TONS of different colors. Looks so cool! I’m not a PC gamer, but this keyboard looks and feels a bit smaller than a non-gaming keyboard. I find myself typo-ing a lot more than normal. I’m sure I’ll get used to it though. The keyboard looks great and doesn’t feel cheap. I haven’t tried setting the macro preset keys yet. For what I paid, I have not regrets so far.

A very very programable board, so much in fact its the only keyboard ive ever owned that had a manual bigger than just a sheet of toilet paper, i bought this one refurbished for the simple fact that i am very hard on keyboards and mice, however the feel of this board compared the others i have bought is completely different and you cant tell from the way it came to the way it works that its a refurbished board. i am very impressed with it and idk but corsair may have just sold me on their keyboards for life

This refurbished membrane keyboard looks new. No issues with the build quality, key caps, or usb cable.
For the Best Buy sale price this is a no brainer. Keys feel good on the fingers with great response. Keys give an audible click when pressed but not as loud as a mechanical.
I use the function + F1-F4 to control the 4 RGB zones. On restart the keyboard does not save your setting unless you install the corsair software.
You get volume keys with mute function.
No extra key caps included and no special AWSD keys like the higher version corsair mechanical key keyboards (no tool included either).
This is a basic keyboard that does the job.
No memory storage or pass through usb.
It connects to your pc with a single usb cable (my other corsair has a y-cable).

Pretty good for a refurb, I wouldn't even known it was a refurb if the clear plastic wasn't already pre peeled off. Looks and works like new and the price is great.

i've had this keyboard for 2+ years now and still working perfectly. there was one incident though when the macro keys didn't recognize what they were supposed to do so i just had to reprogram it, not a biggie. for a refurb item, it was a great deal and lasted more than i expected. the lights are working well. i don't use the rainbow flashing much, only the regular standard lighting, so i can't say much if that affected its longevity.

Refurbished works and looks brand new and it is cheaper than the advertised price. This looks like the keyboard was bought brand new and someone returned it and they just put it in a box and shipped it as refurbished. There is nothing wrong with that, but refurbished usually means that it was broken and restored to working condition and this keyboard I got was still shrink wrapped and was perfectly cleaned which I doubt a Geeksquad employee would have the patience to completely clean the keyboard and reshrink wrap it. I could be wrong, but to me this just looks like a brand new keyboard that someone bought then returned without the original box. Whatever happened to the keyboard I do not care as this keyboard looks and works like a brand new K55. The keyboard is good value and if you can get one at the price of the Geeksquad refurbished price buy it immediately. I do not like mechanical keyboards( The angry noises of gamers out there shall commence) and this keyboard is the best mesh keyboard out there. It includes a wrist rest as well which many brands except Razer and a few others do not include and those keyboards are usually twice the price of this refurbished keyboard. This keyboard brand new is 50$. Why pay 50$ for a new one when this "refurbished one" is literally brand new and includes everything the brand new would include. The only con that this keyboard has is that you save money. Corsair makes good keyboards and Geeksquad does a good job at refurbishing items.

Purchased 3-16-2021 (it was one of those deal of the day things) - I paid $31.98 with tax included. I didn't want to review it right away because sometimes things break down right after you review it. Well, it's been 1-1/2 years and it's GREAT. I'm 58 and use my computer every day. I'm not a gamer. But at my age my vision is not what it used to be. The backlit keyboard is WONDERFUL. I have no trouble seeing the keys, special characters, etc. The keys are smooth. Overall comfortable. Easy to keep clean. No remorse - just genuinely pleased with this purchase.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I was very happy with my keyboard purchase. I bought it refurbished, however, you couldn't tell. The wrist rest was nice, but I didn't use it very often. It's not mechanical, not what i purchased it for in the first place. I like the ten key on the side, but I did upgrade to a mechanical 60% low profile keyboard later on. I'd buy this again just to have a quality low cost keyboard.

I can't give this keyboard enough praise! I ordered a refurbished version and one can't really notice any difference as far as the overall look, feel, usage and quality go when compared to a brand new one. The RGB is great although lacking lots in customization and preset color options to choose from. Overall this is an outstanding purchase and you won't be sorry if you're shopping around for a silent RGB gaming Keyboard.

This keyboard is something I would highly recommend to those on a budget. This keyboard is a membrane keyboard, so its not as clicky as a mechanical one. The keyboard isn’t loud, feels great, and with Corsair’s iCue software you can program lighting and macros.

Awesome keyboard, even for a refurbished.
Pluses:
-Macro keys
-RGB backlighting
-Keys have a nice soft feel to them, but still remain fast accurate and quiet.
-Volume and media con above the keypad.
-oh, and it has a keypad
Cons:
It takes a little while to get used to the macro keys being there, especially if you game and use the keys on the left side of a regular keyboard.

I like to type quietly, which pretty much rules out the fancy/in-trend mechanical keyboards. This keyboard feels pretty close to perfect for a membrane keyboard. I have never had any key rollover issues. It appeared brand new to me despite being refurbished. It is quiet, easy to type on, and the price was quite kind to my wallet :)

Really like this keyboard. The LED lighting is great for being able to see the keys and color selection is great. Keys feel really nice and no noise compared to my old mechanical one. Macro keys along with the soft ware is top notch. Would buy again, in fact if I see on sale again for the price I paid I will.

I've never owned a mechanical keyboard, so I don't really have anything to compare it to. All I can say is that it feels really good to type on and the backlighting is nice. I grabbed this refurbished and on sale for $20 and I would recommend it to anyone at that price.

Feels great tbh. I’ve had it for a while now and it has no problems at all. It has about 10 or 11 light modes and it arrived looking new so I have no complains. It’s one of my favorite RGB membrane keyboards. Not too loud, not too quiet. Just right :)

This keyboard is great and you probably should but it. I prefer mechanical brown switches. This is not as good. I got the keyboard for around $30 rebuilt. Totally worth it. 5 stars at that price. More expensive keyboards are indeed a little better. But this is priced right at about $60 new. The lighting only has 5 zones. But it works good enough.
