• Red copper. Yea it will shutoff active heating and switch to a keep warm setting if you have it selected.

• The kettle is a dark-like copper color. When the water reaches the selected temperature, the kettle will beep 3 times and stop heating. Optionally, press the HOLD TEMP button any time before the kettle is finished heating. This will turn on Hold Temperature Mode, which will automatically keep the kettle at the same temperature for 30 minutes after the heating is finished. The button will stay lit during that time.
