- Answer They will almost never have an os built in. Neither will a hard drive. You need to buy the storage and the OS separately

QuestionHello, I have a problem when trying to boot my Omen 15 laptop. I am receiving a 03fo hard drive error and need a new drive. Will this drive be compatible with my Hp Omen 15 Laptop ek0013dx? If so, what steps will I need to take to install it? Thank you.

- Answer Yes, your device supports up to 2 TB PCIe® Gen4 NVMe™ TLC M.2 SSD's. So it's safe to say you can stick just about any modern 80mm NVMe. If you're upgrading drives you'll lose any data since it's all stored per drive. If your old drive still has some life in it you could try to swap over the data using software (Keep in mind that simply dragging over your files may work for some files but you cannot drag and drop your OS.) If you'd like to swap drives and have the computer stay the same as far as not having to reinstall windows then please take a look at this YouTube video by Jayztwocents: https://youtu.be/jZBDluCITmE As far as the installation you'll likely just need a smaller phillips driver to open the back of the laptop and unscrew the tiny m.2 screw holding in the drive.

- Answer Yes, it'll work. However you should be aware that it'll be unable to run at its maximum rated speed, as that particular laptop uses the second generation PCI-E standard. It should, however, deliver performance relatively close to the maximum achievable for that spec.

- Answer The Crucial SSD attaches to your motherboard. Neither should be in the way of the other. IF your motherboard has an m.2-2280 slot it will fit in there. If you're GTX 1650 goes in close by or over the SSD, there will be enough room; they are designed for this. You may need to temporarily remove the GTX 1650 to get the SSD in and then reinstall the GTX 1650. IF you want to fit the SSD inside the GTX 1650 to give it more ram, that does not work. The SSD only attaches to the motherboard.

- Answer Afraid not. MacBooks from that period switched to using a proprietary connector for the drive, so while the controller and memory chips are all in spec for that machine they won't be able to communicate. You'd need to seek out a Mac compatible upgrade.

- Answer I had an optane drive in my Lenovo desktop which I removed and replaced with this one. It was easy and made my computer even faster. On thing, uninstall the optane software before installing tgis drive. I am not sure why, but that was recommended by reviewers.
