• The hot water feature is separate from the coffee brewing feature. It holds more than one serving. It does need to reheat in between, but doesn't take very long.

• As long as you use a lot of hot water you can keep the water full. Great for making soup,hot chocolate,instant oatmeal. You can shut it off when not using the hot water.
