The coffee pot uses a reusable filter that is included the one cup side uses the K-cup so they are separate also note the K-cup is sold separately hope this helps I believe it all comes from the same reservoir not sure on the ounces
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes it is a separate reservoir not sure about how many oz it is. I think I remember it being listed as a 40oz which looks about right. The only issue I have with it is the single cup sits too low - you can't raise a cup up higher to avoid the splashing. So my fix was to place a old tin cover on the cup tray to lift up the cup. Fixed the one issue I had with the coffee maker. No more splashes clean up once a week! I like the choice to make a bolder coffee and that the warmer tray is programmable for how long to keep the coffee warm.
