There's only about 1 1/2 inches between the two rack grooves. Not a lot of space between them for cooking if you were to get a second rack -- maybe cookies? With the rack in the bottom groove, you've got about 4 1/2" to the 'ceiling.' Using the basket rack that comes with the oven, you'll add another inch of room. (13"w x 12"d for the oven cavity) Hope this helps.

If you are able to do two racks the space between would be about 3.25" without accounting for the thickness of the food on the bottom rack.
