Please try again later.It must be blades since several reviews say it just grinds and grinds until the grounds become like slurry (the steam from brewing evidently tracks back up into the grinding chamber leaving some condensation for the next set of beans - if you don't bother to clean after each use), but many seem to swear by this product. Were it a more traditional grinder where you could set the grind thickness, I would say it was a burr grinder - that is their chief characteristic. Not sure if you still need an answer 30 months after you asked it.....
