This toaster toasts bagels cut in half perfectly. The slots aren't big enough to hold a whole bagel. I cut them in half and have only noticed the color of the toasting on the cut side. There is a bagel setting which I have not set. I just toast bagels on the normal setting and they come out perfectly. I like them lightly toasted so they are soft enough to eat easily.
