“Hi, I understand this doesn't come with a DVD/CD drive, however, one reviewer stated that the OS (Windows 10) installs from a CD. Is this true? And, if so, do I need to purchase an external drive to install the OS?”

The Windows 10 OS is pre-installed for you and if in the event you need to re-install Windows 10 you can actually download the installation from Microsoft to a USB thumb drive so that it is not necessary for you to connect/purchase an external DVD drive especially if you do not have access to one.
