“What are the disk for? if they are software how would I download them? Would I have to buy a cd drive separate”

I believe they are just for back-up. All the software cd should already be downloaded.

The recovery disc for windows and driver disc for the motherboard are provided in the event you ever need to reinstall Windows. In order to use them you will need to connect an external USB DVD or bluray drive which must be purchased separately otherwise Windows and the drivers are already pre-installed for you.
