As for battlefield 4, it depends on what you set the graphics settings to. You may get around 50ish FPS on ULTRA graphics settings. I recommend playing with all set to HIGH as the ultra settings are almost never necessary. Then you should get 60 FPS. As for Minecraft, you'd never be disappointed. Even on the "Extreme" render distance, you will get hundreds of FPS, although it may be intercepted by mods or server activity, but rarely. You are making the right choice for your son, hope he likes it! :)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I tried Battlefield 3 on the lowest settings and couldn't even play through the opening cutscene so I'd say a big no to Battlefield 4 without adding a GPU card to it. Couldn't say for Minecraft.
