I recommend the 1080 if you care for the HD. You may notice a difference. To me it's like the difference between Blu-ray and 4k.. very slight differences if you pay attention, but at first glance you can't really tell. You'd be fine with a $100 monitor with even a 5ms delay. I was able to run WOW on an i4 processor 10in laptop, 4 gigs of ram and like no graphics card with very little lag. Unless you're playing a game like Quake, you don't really need a super fancy monitor. I use a 1060 Samsung 24in monitor 3ms delay that was only $140. It also depends on if you're a hardcore PVP person and how serious it is for you. Yes frame rates matter, but it really depends on personal preference. Your spell outputs will be slightly faster due to a higher hz. I personally don't game competitively so it doesn't matter to me.
