the tower is equipped with all connections you may have, plugs directly into the graphics card... hmdi is definately the better of those 2 but I would check the cable type, hdmi has advanced drastically over the years, if ur monitor is 100htz + make sure ur hdmi isn't bottlenecking (u may need a newer model cable)... the better route would be to use a D cable, graphics card accepts it and it will perform much better frame rate and resolution.
