“Is the windows 10 os on the ssd or the mechanical drive? If not, can it be installed on the ssd prior to purchase? Is the ssd the primary drive? If not, can it be reconfigured as the primary drive prior to purchase?”

Thanks for reaching out Ganfax. Windows should be installed onto the SSD. The SSD should be the primary drive unless you change it to the HDD. Windows is on the ssd, which is the C drive. The mechanical drive is drive D.
