Huh????? Say what???????? After shopping can get those prices up there down too!! Again, how come it costs so much??????”

I'm not sure we're looking at the same machine; the one I'm reading says it has 3 980 Ti graphics cards. In your setup you're also looking at an air cooled system; this one is liquid cooled. I didn't see (or missed) but that could be a customized for 3 graphics cards, cpu, and chipset. Ultimately you're always going to pay more for a boxed system; especially with this much hardware. Bottom line, if you think you can build it better for less doing it yourself, what's stopping you?
