The camera works with a 2.4Ghz network. I would suggest having different SSID names for the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz on your router. When you set the camera up, the device you use MUST be connected to the 2.4Ghz network.

My D-Link is connected to Comcast router with 2.4 and 5GHz and connected with no problem. You should not have problem with Apple Airport express with the D-Link. At my other location, there was a slight problem with two other brands connecting to Apple Airport, but it was an Apple problem that had more to do with updating software for the Airport express. When you buy any product nowadays, an update is sometimes needed before you get home with the product, which is no big deal as most products update their software as soon as you connect them to internet.
