• Not really. I have one mounted in a window sill watching my car and the night vision doesn't go thru the window it shows a very clear window sill that's about it. Luckily I have close enough street lights that day light mode picks everything up in night pretty well.

• also , the infra red glares off the window glass so you can't see anything that's outside in the dark.
