“App required? I've had issues in the past purchasing security cameras that require apps to be downloaded in order to work - I do not want to view video on my phone and do not want additional apps on my phone. Does this product require an app to work?”

• We appreciate the interest in the product. Please note that just as long as you have a working internet connection, you are able to view the camera's live feed from your computer or laptop.

• You do not need an app for it to work. You can access it online from your computer. The app is used to gain access to the device easily, in case you are not near a computer.

• It can be used with a desktop, so an app is not necessary. However, I did not personally try the browser version on a mobile device to see how user friendly it was.

• The nice thing about this camera is that it doesn't need an app to work (however the app is in deed very useful and work flawlessly). You can access this camera via it's ip address on any computers (desktop or laptop) or tablet.

• The app are use for live viewing or review any recorded file. The app are good to have in case something bad happens and need to see what happens on file App also use to configure the camera

• If this any help, and I have to be clear I only have experience with IPad. The MyDlink.com application works great, in the respect that I can see in the dark where my night vision equipped cameras are positioned in my carport, in my hallways and in my work room. I should think any smart phone that does not have issues running these applications would serve you well, alleviating any anxieties about the secure environment in and around your Home. Good Luck.
