Is there ice in the lower freezer as well as the door? null

Sorry but no. I thought the same from one of the pictures I saw, but the ice maker is above, and feeds through the door for cubed and crushed. It all work quite well. You can periodically remove the ice bin from above and dump it into the ice storage tray below in the freezer to keep extra ice on hand. I absolutely love the refrigerator otherwise. Produce stays super fresh because of the way the evaporator system works.
